Deliverance again comes through belief in the word of God. For those of
you who are oppressed by demonic spirits, there is deliverance. You need
to find someone in your area who believes in casting out of devils. That
person can minister deliverance. Here are some things to aid you on
the way to your deliverance.
What are demons, what are devils? Demons are angels or unclean spirits who have left their
first estate (heaven). They are followers of hasatan (the adversary). The
world portrays demons as little ugly things with red union suits and carrying
pitchforks. We will look to the scriptures for an accurate answer.
- Matt 12:43-45
43 "When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. 44 Then he says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
NKJV
Deliverance from demons or unclean spirits was part of the ministry of Yeshua. Wherever he went healing and comforting, he was sending out
demons. Demons are the driving forces behind addictions and addictive
behaviors and sickness and disease. When we allow them access to our minds and then bodies they
begin their work of havoc. Eventually they completely take over a person's
will and then they have his/her body.
- Eph 4:26-27
26 Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil.
NKJV
We are to be angry at sin, at the adversary. We are supposed to resist
anger at fellow humans and keep our eyes tuned in to the adversary. When
we war with flesh we are like the bull chasing the red cape. The cape has
no power, but the real adversary has a sword that he's about to drive into our
hearts. Let's quit chasing and warring with one another and put our focus
on the real bad guy, satan.
- Eph 6:12
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against
spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
NKJV
So how do you defeat an unseen enemy? The same way you deal with
anything spiritual, with the word.
- Eph 6:13-19
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--
NKJV
Let's take a closer look and see how we fight the demons that harass us
today. We're told to put on some sort of armor. This means that the
enemy we fight is in a war with us. He's come to kill, steal and
destroy. We need protective armor so that his weapons don't do any
damage. The whole purpose is to be able to withstand an evil day and to
end up standing.
- We're first told to stand, this is an active battle, not a passive
one. If you're sitting in a battle you can't use all your reflexes.
- Our first piece of armor is a girdle, a waistband of truth. We need
to know what God says about the battle. We're going to have to use it
and we need to use it to strengthen our resolve.
- Next is a breastplate which will protect our heart and vital organs.
This breastplate is made of righteousness or rightstanding with our heavenly
Father. This comes through His only son Yeshua (Jesus). You have
to have a relationship with the son. You have to know him
intimately. He is our salvation. Ask him to make himself real to
you and he will. Then we act like we are righteous. The adversary
can't tell who is behind all the armor unless we open our blab mouths and
spill the beans. Keep your life in line with the word and you'll be
blessed beyond measure.
- No one goes into a battle bare footed. Get those boots on!
These boots are the "good news of peace or shalom". Peace is
a misunderstood word, it means "nothing missing, nothing
broken". Yeshua is made unto us peace or shalom. He
is the peace that passes understanding.
- Above all these pieces of armor we're told to carry a shield. Now
this isn't any ordinary shield, this is a full sized, super deluxe
model. It covers your entire body and is drenched in water (the
word). Why is this? Because if you take off the other pieces of
armor in order to sleep or for some other reason, you can throw up your
shield and be protected from the fiery darts of the adversary. Never
keep your shield too far away. This shield is made up of faith.
Faith is the substance or matter of which all things that you hope for are
made up of. It is the proof of things which we can't see. In the
realm of faith many things are in the process of coming from heaven to
earth. We can't necessarily see them by our natural eyes while they
are in process, but faith makes them visible to our hearts. See
yourself victorious, see yourself delivered, see yourself well, see yourself
free from poverty, see yourself whatever God says you can be. This is
faith.
- The helmet clearly protects the head or mind. We're told to have the
mind of Christ (the Anointed Messiah and his anointing which removes burdens
and destroys yokes). Our salvation is accomplished in Yeshua so we
need to keep this in our thoughts at all times.
- Now we get a weapon, a sword. We can strike back a deadly blow to
the enemy. We must use the sword of the Spirit. The spirit realm
is where our fight is so we need to once again use spiritual weaponry.
The sword of the Spirit is the word. It is quick an sharper than any
two-edged sword. It divides asunder to the soul and marrow of all
issues. Yeshua dealt with temptation by speaking the word. He
said "It is written" and the adversary had to leave.
"Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee". This is
a promise. The written word is one side of the "two edged sword". Praying in
the spirit is the other side of the blade. There are clearly times when we
absolutely don't know the answer to a situation. We need God's vantage point
and His ability to see the end from the beginning. A singled edged sword is
good, but a double-edged sword cuts going in and coming out. We want to sever
the head of our adversary. Many fight receiving the ability to pray in the
spirit. They don't want to lose control of their tongues. How can we believe
we're loving God with ALL of our being if we refuse to submit our tongues to
Him. Fear of losing control or looking silly is one deterrent to receiving
this "baptism" of the Holy Spirit. We should want to love God completely.
Surrender your tongue today and receive power like you've never had before.
The power to understand eternal mysteries and the ability to communicate
spirit to Spirit!
- Our last weapon is prayer of all other sorts. We need to be connected to God and to our
fellow men. We need the conduit of prayer to be so. Prayer keeps
our minds on God and on the needs of our brothers and sisters in
Christ.
If we follow these things, if we keep an open relationship with God by coming
to Him when we're in trouble and not running from him, we'll be more than
conquerors. God is no respecter of persons, if he does a thing for one, he
has to do it for all of us. Let's receive deliverance from the sin which
has so easily beset us!
If you are so bound you can't even make the first step, you need to find
someone near you to minister deliverance. There are believers all around
in just about every neighborhood. Ask the Father to show you where to go
and allow them to minister deliverance. They will cast out the demons and
then you can begin your walk of success. If you
have no one in your area that is willing to deal with demons, you can ask the
Father to send someone!
If you have no one near to deliver you, then let us know. We will begin
to intercede for you to be free of the oppression you are under. God never
intended for his children to be locked up by the enemy. Hell is for the
devil and his gang, not for you. Email us at
